SUPPORT GROUPS:

Can't find a support group in your area? Many groups now offer virtual meetings via Zoom or other platforms, and are open to participants from any location. Visit our list of Virtual Support Groups for more information.

Phoenix: Hospice of the Valley's Pet Loss Support Group meets on the first Saturday of every month from 9-11 a.m. Groups are virtual and open to anyone, anywhere, grieving the loss of a beloved companion animal. Tucson: Humane Society of Southern Arizona, 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd., Tucson, AZ 85716, 520-603-8319, http://hssaz.org/services/admission/end-of-life-services/. Meetings are the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month from 2 to 3:30 at the Humane Society of Southern Arizona. Meetings are led by Chrysanne Fife, who is a counselor with extensive background experience in helping people cope with the loss of loved ones. The support group meets twice monthly at HSSA's Main Campus. The group is free of charge. Please call Chrysanne by Monday of the 2nd and 4th week of the month to confirm that you will be attending. Greenville, NC: Virtual Pet Loss & Grief Support Group. Open to residents of NC and AZ. Facilitated by Jessica Holton, MSW, LCSW, LCAS, LISAC the second Thursday of the month, 7:15-8:30 p.m. (EST).
